Time to Vote!!!

I've never entered a quilt show or a contest of any kind... but, when the email from Quilting Gallery came out last week or so about the Weekly Themed Contest... and that the theme was "Baby Quilts"... well, there's a first time for everything!!! Time to be Bold.

I entered one of mine.  A quilt named "Tic Tac Toe!!"~ which, like all quilts I do, has a history.  Now isn't the time to tell that story, but let's suffice to say that this particular quilt was made with a *lot* of love and its recipient carefully selected.

The 56 quilts that were entered in this contest are truly beautiful... The workmanship on some is breathtaking~ I'm tickled beyond belief to have earned votes especially when you see the patterning & quilting designs of many of them.  But that's what makes it fun!! Lots of inspiration, for sure.  Which is a good thing... because I've no shortage of baby quilts to make.  I'm behind on 2 special babies & have one to make for a friend who's bun is in the oven until August.

So~ the "Time to Vote" part... I'd be thrilled if you'd go check out the work of the other 55 quilts & honor three people with your vote. (You get to vote for your favorite 3, because asking people to pick 1 is Cruel & Unusual punishment!)

A Little Fun... and a Mini-Update!!

I found this image a while back & think it to be quite accurate!! Sadly, I don't know to whom photo credit belongs.... I certainly am not computer savvy or creative enough to create an image like this. Anonymous seems to get an awful lot of attributes!!

Anyway... Enjoy!! I've just got the binding left on the red/green table runner & then it'll be shipped out to its new home. Hope to finish it tonight. Then it's back to the batiks for yet another baby quilt... If I keep at my current tortoise rate, the little girl will be in high school before I finish!! Sadness!!

I think I need an adjustment...

... in my time management strategies!  Here it is~ February~ and I *still* haven't cleared off my sewing table & worked on any projects.  Goodness!  Today will be the day... I have a project or two that are nearly finished & I'm feeling that today's the day to get my priorities back in line.

Time is a funny thing... we all have the same amount of time~ 24 hours in one day.  How will you use yours today?!  I will be balancing mine between "have-to's" and "want-to's"... just like everyone else.
